Nominations

Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for a CityLife Award. Nominations for this year are now closed. We hope to see you at the CityLife Awards on Nov. 20!

The award categories are:

• Wilmingtonian of the Year
  This nominee should exhibit an outward passion for City of Wilmington. This person's actions should directly contribute to the revitalization and continuing growth of Wilmington, whether it is through the nominee's career or community activism.
• Entrepreneur of the Year
  This individual is an entrepreneur in the City of Wilmington whose vision coincides with the continuing growth of the city. The nominee chose to be a part of the city's renaissance by beginning his or her business in the city.
• Neighbor/Neighborhood of the Year
  This neighbor or neighborhood embodies the spirit of community in the City of Wilmington. The nominee has worked together to solidify a sense of community and togetherness within the community as well as adding to the beauty of Wilmington.
• Rising Star
  This award will be presented to the individual or a business that displays promise for the future. The nominee exhibits a passion for the city and has leadership potential that ensures he or she will be a champion of Wilmington for years to come.
• Partnership of the Year
  This award will be presented to companies, businesses and organizations, nonprofits working together or with other partners, or multiple organizations that have collaborated on projects or programs that have directly enhanced the City of Wilmington.

The selection committee strongly encourages qualifications for nomination to contain between 500 and 750 characters so adequate comparisons can be made.
